Recruitment, Exhibitions, International — Manga Culture (Osaka, Honmachi), the company that “manages” the Manga Project
We're not getting any applications. Exchanging business cards isn't leading to business deals.
If you turn that charm into a story, it will stand out.

Since its debut in France in 2006, the company has exhibited a total of 11 times at various events, including Epitanime, Paris Manga, and Japan Expo. It has a proven track record of consistently promoting Japanese culture—particularly manga and anime—in France, where these genres are popular.
Representative Matsuyama served as a cosplay judge and gave a lecture. The event was organized in collaboration with the Japanese Embassy in Algeria. The event took place in the French-speaking region with the largest land area in Africa.
As part of the anniversary celebrations marking the sister-county partnership between Osaka Prefecture and the Val-d'Oise department in France, I was responsible for planning and organizing a Japan-France business seminar. I served as a bridge, connecting exchanges at the government level to the private sector.
At the event, which drew 830,000 visitors, the mascot character Princess Korokke stole the show. Multilingual manga appealed to both Thai locals and Japanese residents living in Thailand. Some visitors even returned for their fifth visit.
"Just by opening the manga and staying silent for three minutes, we closed the deal. Since I only had to answer questions about the parts that interested me—rather than being subjected to a one-sided sales pitch—the negotiation went very smoothly. I truly realized that the potential of manga is limitless."
Mr. Hiroaki Kanazawa, Representative, Voice Social Insurance and Labor Consultant Corporation
"The 'AI × Manga' training transformed my work. What used to take hours—like writing instructions or apology emails—now takes just a few minutes. I was surprised to find that some of the job seekers were actually my followers. After the training, I felt my horizons had broadened and that I was truly connected to the world."
Mr. Takahisa Sawada, Representative Director of Seiko Transport & Warehousing

Q1. What does the "Persona Experience" involve?
A. During a 30-minute Zoom consultation, we’ll work with you to identify where your company’s appeal isn’t coming across effectively—whether it’s at trade shows, in recruitment, in product promotion, or in international expansion. After the consultation, we’ll immediately share recommendations for improvement. We don’t try to sell you anything. We only take on projects that excite us—and we do them together.
Q2. Can this be used even in industries that have no connection to manga or anime?
A. In fact, the results are even more effective in industries that seem least related. For industries that may seem unassuming at first glance—such as logistics, manufacturing, professional services, and construction firms—the “realities of the workplace” and “stories of dedication” are conveyed instantly when presented through manga and anime. However, these are not mere advertising comics. Manga that incorporates entertaining elements to engage and delight people is the ultimate tool. We’ll use it as the most powerful instrument to showcase your company’s appeal.
Q3. I’m not able to follow up on all the leads I get at trade shows. Can you help me solve this problem?
A. Yes. It’s often said that 90 percent of the leads gathered at trade shows don’t result in business deals. The main reason is that “the story doesn’t continue.” At Manga Culture, we design trade shows around three phases: “before,” “during,” and “after.”
Before the Exhibition (2 months): Build anticipation through serialized manga, social media, and email newsletters to secure advance appointments. Create a sense of “I want to meet them” even before visitors arrive.
The Day of the Exhibition: We display standing signs, POP displays, and short animated videos featuring our mascot character on monitors. Going beyond simply handing out promotional items, we implement strategies designed to draw visitors to our booth and enhance the quality of business discussions.
After the exhibition (for 3 months): By maintaining engagement through a monthly manga series, we nurture prospects from “I want to see them again” to “I want to partner with this company.”
A trade show is the “starting line.” By preparing in advance and weaving a narrative that extends beyond the event, we can significantly increase the number of business opportunities.
Q4. How much will it cost, and how long will it take?
A. We’ll propose the plan that best suits your company’s challenges, size, and preferences. Projects come in many forms—from creating a mascot character to providing six months of support through a serialized manga, or developing initiatives tailored to trade shows. Let’s start by clarifying your company’s challenges through a free persona analysis.
Q5. What is the difference between you and an advertising agency or a social media management service?
A. The job of an agency or management service provider is to “handle communications on your behalf.” Manga Culture’s job is to “turn your company’s appeal into a story and manage projects to build a fan base.” We are directly contracted to handle everything—production, management, proposals, and post-launch support—in an integrated manner. Weaving together trade shows, recruitment, and international expansion into a single narrative is something neither AI nor advertising agencies can replicate.
Q6. Do you support international expansion?
A. Yes. We have exhibited at the France-Japan Expo a total of 11 times. We also have a track record of successfully utilizing manga and characters at an event in Thailand that attracted 830,000 attendees, which led to five repeat engagements. Manga and anime transcend language, cultural, and religious barriers. Once the groundwork for promoting your appeal domestically is in place, we will support your expansion into overseas markets as the next step.
